I don’t know what to say. I am very serious about this. I am left in awe by this book, by this series in general.

“My heart’s been torn wide open, just like I feared it would be, and I have no willpower to close it back up.”

This is literally how I feel about it. Reading Champion is like this pure, exquisite, sweet torture and I love how the book made me feel while reading it. To be honest, it’s been a long time since I last felt that way while reading a book. I love the way Marie Lu writes. The series never lost its quality. I love everything about this book. The plot, the characters and everything, even the cover.

The story was full of action as usual, but I love how it incorporated some humor too, and well, yes drama. I really love Day’s sense of humor, then there’s Pascao too! He’s a great reliever. June’s character had grown pretty much well in this book. Once in a while, she gets very emotional, which makes her more human and believable. I also love how Tess became more mature in this book. Eden was a great character and I like that his character was opened up in this book, it made his character grow and develop. Anden was a bit of a suprise for me. When I imagine his character, all I’m seeing are hazy figures of a tall guy. Like something empty. Still, I empathized with his character. Being an Elector at his age was really challenging. I like his character, but I just couldn’t feel him sometimes.

The last few chapters were really intense for me. I couldn’t put the book down and I was on the edge of my seat. It’s very exciting and heartbreaking at the same time. Yes, I did cry towards the end. My heart just couldn’t handle all the emotions anymore. I’d say this was really an epic conclusion to the trilogy.

I feel so grateful to Marie Lu, not only for writing these books and introducing us to such amazing characters, but also for writing an epilogue for this book because if she hadn’t I might have died right on the spot. I’ve been putting off the book because of exams but since classes were suspended because of the weather, I found time to read it, but I am telling you, DO NOT PUT THIS BOOK OFF. I highly recommend the series especially those who love dystopian books.
