The Blood of Olympus

The Blood of Olympus - Rick Riordan AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHh!!!

Full Review

I'm going to keep this review short and simple, I guess, because I don't want to give away anything. I know you lot hate spoilers and don't want to be trolled more than Uncle Rick's already doing to us. Hahaha!

This book is one of my most anticipated novels of 2014. Being the series finale, my expectations shot up through the sky. I knew this book would be as action-packed, thrilling, amusing and perfect like any other Riordan masterpiece. And once again, Rick Riordan delivered.

The series as a whole, was an adventure itself. Like any other Riordan book, I love the spot-on action and adventure and the way he incorporated the Ancient Greek and Roman mythology in the modern world.

There were new characters introduced in the book, but the old characters made an appearance too, which really made me happy, especially Apollo *blushes mildly*. I mean, come on! You have to agree with me that Rick's description of Apollo is truly swoon-worthy. Hahaha! The book had new POVs too, which was pretty exciting. The main seven characters had gone through a lot of things and I'm really happy to see them grow throughout the series, particularly Piper McLean. From the start, I knew she had more badass tricks to show and just because she's an Aphrodite ki d doesn't mean she has to act like a stereotypical teenage girl. This book just proved me right.

I'm going to sound greedy but I really needed more when it came to the ending. However, the book was really great and amazing that I felt contented with the ending after sometime of letting it sink through me.

It's been one hell of a ride and I know that this is not the last time that we'll see these characters because Magnus Chase is happening next year *coughs* crossover. Haha! Let's just keep an eye out of that.

Lastly, to Uncle Rick, thank you for bringing us these books and making us love Percy Jackson and these other demigods since The Lightning Thief. I, personally, love Greek Mythology so much and these books just made me love it even more. These books accompanied me during my teenage years and I learned a lot from it. Thank you!
