"My mom's coming home soon," I said. "We should go to your place."Patch ran a hand across the shadow of stubble along his jaw. "I have rules about who I take there." I was really getting tired of that answer.
"If you showed me, you'd have to kill me?" I guessed, fighting the urge to feel irritated. "Once I'm inside, I can never leave?"
Patch studied me a moment. Then he reached into his pocket, twisted a key off his key chain, and slipped into the front pocket of my pajama top.
"Once you've gone inside, you have to keep coming back."
Well, judging from the book's title, I knew that something worse was going to happen and things will escalate quickly. However, I didn't expect my heart to be ripped apart and be shred into pieces, in the process. Honestly.
And the plot twists were making me crazy and I'm loving it. However, some characters were just flying off the pages, and I hope that they will be explained in the next books.
Speaking of plot twists, I really did not expect the main villain to be that person (And again, hats off to Becca Fitzpatrick). Plus I really think Detective Basso is more than just a cop.
Okay, I'm finishing this one here because I'm too hyped up to read the next one.
